Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Location

Salem, MA | Inpatient

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Every Other Weekend | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult medical patients on a 24-bed private room inpatient medical telemetry unit
• Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips as a core component of patient monitoring and care
• Maintain a clinician-to-patient ratio of 1 RN to 4–5 patients
• Document patient care and clinical findings using EPIC EMR
• Float to other units as needed to support staffing requirements
• Rotate shifts as needed to cover open night shifts, with a small number of day rotations per month

Required Qualifications

• Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a single location, or 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
• Must be able to read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a medical telemetry or medical/surgical telemetry setting
• Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records system
• Experience with adult medical patient populations
