Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse

Schedule / Job TypeContract | 36 Hours per Week | Rotating Shifts (Days/Evenings/Nights) | Every Other Weekend | Onsite
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 41-bed Medical Telemetry unit serving cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorder, GU, and GI patient populations
- Interpret telemetry strips and monitor cardiac rhythms continuously
- Manage cardiac drips, TR bands, and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Maintain clinician-to-patient ratios of 1:4/5 on days and 1:5/6 on evenings and nights
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR
- Float to applicable units as needed based on census and staffing requirements
Required Qualifications- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license
- AHA-certified Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a single facility setting
- Minimum of 2 years of travel nursing experience
- Demonstrated ability to interpret telemetry strips
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR
Preferred Experience / Skills- Experience with cardiac drips and hemodynamic monitoring
- Familiarity with TR band management and high-flow oxygen therapy
- Experience caring for patients with psychiatric or substance use disorder diagnoses in a medical setting
