Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 32-bed Orthopedic/Neurological Medical-Surgical unit that also accepts general medical overflow patients
- Perform neurological assessments and monitor telemetry, including interpretation of telemetry strips
- Manage a patient population that includes scheduled elective orthopedic and neuro/surgical patients, fracture patients, and general medical overflow
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC EMR
- Float to applicable units when requested based on census and staffing needs
Required Qualifications- Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg or Telemetry RN experience in a single location
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a travel nurse
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Neurological assessment skills
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Prior experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
- Background in orthopedic or neurological patient care settings
