Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Neuro Telemetry unit, monitoring and managing patients with neurological and cardiac conditions
• Perform peripheral IV starts, Foley catheter insertions, and nasogastric tube (NGT) insertions
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using Meditech electronic health records
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, responding appropriately to changes in patient status
• Participate in rotating weekend shifts and float to other units as needed per facility floating policy
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas RN License (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based nursing experience
• Telemetry experience required
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with neuro-stroke, seizure management, neurological disorders, or neuro-surgical patient populations
• Cardiac nursing experience
• Prior experience with Meditech documentation system
