Travel RN – Medical Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Evaluate the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and maintain professional accountability
Coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality
Perform drug titration and manage telemetry monitoring for medical and cardiac overflow patients
Float on a rotational basis as required; orient on day shift prior to transitioning to night shift schedule
Required Qualifications
Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or currently hold Missouri licensure
Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
NIHSS certification required prior to start date (may be submitted without, but must obtain before assignment begins)
Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with EPIC EMR
Familiarity with telemetry equipment, IV pumps, lift equipment, and tube feeding pumps
