Travel RN – Surgical / Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (19:00–07:00) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including post-trauma, surgical, and medical comorbidity patients
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct caregivers
Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, telemetry monitors, and lift equipment within a 32-bed cardiac/med-surg unit
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable standards and guidelines
Float on a rotational basis as required by unit needs
Required Qualifications
Current RN license; must meet eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri or hold an active Missouri RN license
Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
4 trauma credits required; must be completed within the first two weeks of assignment if not already obtained
NIHSS certification required prior to start date (may be submitted without, but must be obtained before beginning)
Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
Preferred Experience / Skills
ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
Inpatient trauma experience
Determined, decisive, and flexible work style with ability to adapt to a fast-paced surgical/telemetry environment
