Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Telemetry (Nights)

Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36 or 48 Guaranteed Hours Per Week | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
Utilize the nursing process to perform assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care for all age groups, including medical and medical telemetry patients and those with developmental delays
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care and evaluate the overall effectiveness of care delivered by other direct care givers
Perform drug titration and manage telemetry monitoring equipment, IV pumps, tube feeding pumps, and lift equipment
Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information in accordance with applicable nursing practice standards
Float on a rotational basis as required and adapt to varying schedules based on patient care needs
Required Qualifications
Current RN license meeting eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri, or currently licensed in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of inpatient telemetry experience
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) only
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required prior to start date (submissions accepted without, but must be obtained before beginning assignment)
Demonstrated experience and competence in drug titration
Flu vaccination or approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
Familiarity with caring for patients with developmental delays or complex medical comorbidities
Determined, decisive, and flexible personality well-suited to a fast-paced inpatient environment
