Perform direct patient care activities for adult patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a 50% Medical / 50% Telemetry unit
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient outcomes and comfort
Operate within the scope of nursing practice consistent with applicable state nursing practice standards and established facility guidelines
Maintain patient ratios of approximately 4–6:1 utilizing standard telemetry unit equipment and EPIC EMR
Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units
Work every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
Required Qualifications
Current RN license meeting eligibility criteria for licensure in the state of Missouri, or currently licensed in Missouri
Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
Flu vaccination or facility-approved exemption required November 1 through April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with EPIC EMR
Demonstrated team-oriented approach with a focus on positive patient outcomes and superior communication skills
