Perform direct patient care activities for adult patients including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation across a mixed Medical/Telemetry unit (approximately 50% Medical, 50% Telemetry)
Monitor and coordinate patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort
Maintain patient ratios of approximately 4–6:1 and utilize standard telemetry unit equipment and EPIC EMR
Float as needed to similar or lower acuity units
Work every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) as required and at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
Participate in a full week of orientation on day shift prior to beginning night shift assignment
Required Qualifications
Current RN license meeting eligibility requirements for licensure in the state of Missouri, or currently licensed in Missouri
Minimum 2+ years of Telemetry nursing experience
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
NIHSS certification
Flu vaccination (or facility-approved exemption) required November 1 – April 1; declinations are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
Experience with EPIC EMR
