Travel Registered Nurse – Telemetry

Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on an 18-bed Telemetry unit with a 5:1 RN-to-patient ratio
- Perform neurovascular checks on limbs, frequent ambulation, and repositioning of patients
- Manage orthopedic precautions and comprehensive pain control for a diverse patient population
- Care for patients presenting with trauma, orthopedic injuries, chest pain, stroke workups, CHF, Afib, RVR, TBIs, and spinal cord injuries
- Utilize GE wireless telemetry equipment, Welch Allyn vital sign machines, and Meditech EMR
- Collaborate with a charge nurse, fellow RNs, and Patient Care Technicians across day shift operations
Required Qualifications- Minimum 1 year of current acute care Telemetry RN experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
Preferred Experience / Skills- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Trauma and/or orthopedic nursing experience
- Neuro and/or stroke nursing experience
