Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type
Contract (13 Weeks) | Travel | Full-Time | Onsite | Days – 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, 3x12-hour shifts
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and facility policies and procedures
- Demonstrate critical thinking skills and scientific judgment in the anticipation and planning for safe delivery of emergency patient care
- Delegate patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of available staff
- Provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and adherence to departmental standards
- Float to other units as needed to support staffing requirements
Required Qualifications
- Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR
- Willingness to float to other units as needed
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Charge Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting
- NIH Stroke Scale certification or familiarity
- Experience in a Trauma Level III, Stroke Receiving, or STEMI Receiving facility
