Travel Nurse RN - Transplant - $1,927 per week in Houston, TX

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 6 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred, NIHSS Must-Have: - Experience in a busy hospital setting - Flexibility with scheduling and floating to like units - Experience with single and multi-organ transplant patients and LVAD patients - CVT preferred post-operative experience Description: Candidates should be open to floating as needed. A busy level 1 trauma environment requires flexibility in scheduling. Self-scheduling based on unit needs is in place; no guarantees on block scheduling. Weekend duties include every other weekend. Holidays are also required. Charge nurse duties may be involved. Nurse aides may not always be available. Common drips include cardiac drips, with no requirement for titrating. Experience with BiPap, Cpap, and High Flow equipment is preferred. Registered Nurses will read telemetry strips. Trained to assess using Dopplers for MAPP. Experience in a busy hospital setting enhances successful placements.
