Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Transplant Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS Must-Have: - Previous travel nursing experience preferred - Familiarity with Epic system for documentation - Ability to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity Description: Provide care to patients within the Progressive Care Unit. Maintain a patient ratio of approximately 1 nurse to 5 patients. Utilize skills in IV starts and telemetry monitoring. Accessing and managing ports. Central line care and management. Interpretation of dysrhythmias. IV insulin protocols. Management of dysrhythmias. Experience in telemetry nursing. Care for patients with kidney and liver transplants, pancreas transplants, infections, and uncontrolled diabetes. Assist with special procedures such as kidney biopsy recovery and paracentesis. Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Adhere to all compliance requirements and regulations.
