Description:
This position offers both 36 or 48-hour options for a contract duration of 13 or 26 weeks.
RNs must be prepared to float frequently to meet the staffing needs of the facility.
RTO blackout dates are in June due to a major event.
This unit provides medical surgical and progressive care to adult pre and post-transplant patients.
Adolescent patients starting at the age of 15 are also cared for on this unit by core staff only.
Patient ratios are typically 1:5 during the day and 1:6 during the night.
Night ratios can be 1:7 depending on staffing, although this is rare.
Drips are required on all floors.
First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Academic Medical Center.
RNs will float to various units as needed, including potential assignments at other locations.
The care team includes CNAs, care techs, and transport teams.
This is a nicotine-free facility.
Weekend coverage consists of 4 weekend shifts out of 8 possible in a 4-week period.
RTO requests must be submitted with the application and can contain up to two weeks.
Travelers must work 2 out of 3 major holidays.
Local candidates are not accepted.
Pending licenses are accepted, but licenses must be in hand at the time of engagement.
RNs are required to wear designated scrubs with the facility logo.
Additional information on uniform requirements will be provided upon confirmation.
There are options for parking permits or daily rate parking available.
The facility is highly regarded for providing care to complex cases and has a strong educational background.
The unit specializes in a range of transplant and rehabilitation cases.
Team members include physical therapy, respiratory services, and various other support services.
This position may require management of various medical protocols and interventions.
All contracts will adhere to a set work week schedule.
Candidates should be prepared for compliance with all mandatory requirements.
