Job Summary Trauma ICU Level I Trauma Facility Intensive Care Unit Trauma. This position involves providing specialized critical care to adult patients in a Level I trauma center. The role requires managing complex patient conditions with a focus on trauma and emergency care, operating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality treatment.
Job Details
Position: Trauma ICU Level I Trauma Facility
Shift: Days, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS; PALS and TNCC preferred
Education/Experience: 2 years of relevant ICU trauma experience preferred, minimum of 1 year required; experience with charting in Epic (experience required)
Skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, ICP monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, ventilator management, level I trauma care
Patient Ratio: 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
Patient Census: Approximately 14 patients daily
Additional unit information includes interdisciplinary support such as IV teams, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, and social services
Preferred qualifications include community hospital experience and previous trauma level I or II experience
Travel experience required; must hold state or compact license at the time of submittal and comply with onboarding and compliance rules
