Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Advanced skills required for ICU care. Description: The position involves working in a high-acuity environment. The unit has a patient ratio of 2:1 for ICU patients. Med/surg and PCU patients are at a ratio of 4:1. The unit is staffed with Charge RNs, RNs, and PCTs. Equipment used includes ventilators and specialty beds. CRRT is utilized occasionally. Documentation is performed using a specific system. Scheduling requires a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule. Contract labor is the first to float when needed. Previous med/surg experience is required for patient experience. The dress code consists of navy scrubs. Specific unit policies and guidelines apply to this position. Additional information may include awards and recognition for the department.
