Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Trauma ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: At least 2 years of ICU experience required. License: RN license required Certifications: BLS and ACLS required - AHA only Must-Have: Epic experience required. Description: Evening/Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, 19:00-07:30, with every other weekend rotation and some holidays. Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICU experience required. Traveler will be required to pass a Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. The unit provides care for critically ill surgical, medical, and trauma patients. Be part of a team that uses compassion and teamwork to care for critically ill adult patients. The facility offers cutting-edge, evidence-based therapies and research studies to improve patient outcomes. Nurses will become experts in using advanced life support therapies. The unit serves as emergency responders throughout the facility. The nursing team maintains a positive and supportive work environment. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to manage patients with multisystem organ dysfunction. Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics. The unit has a daily census of 23 patients. The number of rooms is 24 and the number of beds is 24. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Patient diagnoses include respiratory issues, post-code care, sepsis, GI bleeds, post-op management, liver transplant, and vascular surgery trauma. Travelers may be required to float to different units based on current staffing needs. Minimum experience required: Two years of acute care experience in the specified specialty. Competency requirements include active telemetry competencies on file and successful completion of a telemetry exam prior to starting. Travelers must meet all health and safety protocols for patient care.
