Registered Nurse - Wound Care

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Wound Care to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will work within the hyperbaric center and wound center, providing exceptional care and support to patients with wound management needs.

Schedule

  • Days: 5 shifts of 8 hours (08:00 - 16:30)
  • Weekend: Every other weekend unless specified

Responsibilities

  • Deliver comprehensive wound care assessments and treatments to patients.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with facility policies.
  • Educate patients and families on wound care management and preventative strategies.
  • Float to outpatient settings as needed within scope of practice.

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are accepted.
  • Experience in Wound Care is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.

Additional Information

Compliance with full requirements is mandatory to start on time. If a traveler is not compliant, the start date may be pushed back by two weeks due to the orientation schedule.

Travelers are expected to work major holidays as outlined:

  • One major holiday: expected to work one
  • Two major holidays: expected to work both
  • Three major holidays: expected to work two

Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day.
