Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive wound, ostomy, and continence assessments
- Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans
- Assess, document, and evaluate patient outcomes
- Provide pressure injury prevention assessments and interventions
- Educate patients, families, and clinical staff
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Float to other units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) License
- 3–5 years of recent healthcare experience
- Hands-on wound care and pressure injury management experience
- Experience using EPIC Electronic Medical Records
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Required Certifications
Candidates must hold one of the following:
- Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse (CWON)
- Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN)
- Certified Wound Specialist (CWS)
- Wound Care Certified (WCC)
