Position: Registered Nurse – Wound Care
Location: Tacoma
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Day Shift
Schedule: 4×10
Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2550 to $2750
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive assessments of acute, chronic, surgical, diabetic, pressure, and vascular wounds
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound care treatment plans
Provide advanced wound care treatments, including dressing changes, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), ostomy care, and support during debridement procedures
Monitor wound healing progress and adjust care plans based on patient response
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, case managers, dietitians, therapists, and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff on wound prevention, treatment, nutrition, and home care management
Accurately document wound assessments, interventions, measurements, and patient progress in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Participate in pressure injury prevention initiatives and quality improvement programs
Ensure compliance with infection prevention practices, patient safety standards, and evidence-based wound care protocols
Serve as a clinical resource for wound care best practices across the healthcare team
Requirements
Active Washington Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Wound Care nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, CWON
Experience with advanced wound care techniques, wound vacs, pressure injury management, and ostomy care
Strong knowledge of evidence-based wound management practices
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Excellent assessment, communication, documentation, and patient education skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
