Weekly Pay:$2,550 to $2,750
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive wound assessment, treatment, and ongoing nursing care
Assess wounds for size, depth, drainage, tissue type, odor, infection, and signs of healing
Develop and implement individualized wound-care plans based on patient needs and provider orders
Perform dressing changes and wound treatments using appropriate techniques and products
Provide care for pressure injuries, surgical wounds, diabetic wounds, venous and arterial ulcers, and other complex wounds
Monitor wounds for infection, deterioration, delayed healing, and other complications
Assist with wound debridement and advanced wound-care procedures as permitted by scope of practice and facility protocols
Coordinate with physicians and wound-care specialists regarding treatment recommendations and changes in patient condition
Educate patients and caregivers on wound care, dressing changes, nutrition, skin protection, and prevention strategies
Promote pressure-injury prevention, repositioning, mobility, nutrition, hydration, and skin integrity
Monitor patient response to treatment and document wound progression accurately
Maintain detailed documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Collaborate with physicians, dietitians, physical therapists, occupational therapists, CNAs, case managers, and other healthcare professionals
