Experience Required: 2 Years
Weekly Pay:$2730 to $2930
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive wound assessments for acute, chronic, surgical, diabetic, pressure, and vascular wounds
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized wound care treatment plans
Perform advanced wound care procedures, including dressing changes, negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), debridement assistance, and ostomy care as appropriate
Monitor wound healing progress and adjust care plans based on patient response
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, dietitians, physical therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
Educate patients, families, and caregivers on wound prevention, treatment, nutrition, and home care management
Document assessments, interventions, wound measurements, and patient progress accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
Assist with pressure injury prevention initiatives and hospital quality improvement programs
Ensure compliance with infection prevention standards, patient safety guidelines, and evidence-based wound care practices
Provide consultation and clinical support to nursing staff regarding wound management best practices
Requirements
Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License
Minimum 2 years of recent Wound Care nursing experience
Current BLS Certification required
Wound Care Certification (WCC, CWCN, CWON equivalent
Strong knowledge of wound assessment, treatment modalities, pressure injury prevention, and ostomy care
Experience with negative pressure wound therapy (wound vacs) preferred
Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems
Excellent assessment, communication, documentation, and patient education skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
Commitment to delivering evidence-based, patient-centered wound care
