RN – Labor & Delivery (L&D) Travel Assignment
Join a Level II Trauma and Teaching Hospital providing exceptional maternal and newborn care in a collaborative Labor & Delivery unit. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced L&D nurses who are comfortable caring for high-risk obstetric patients in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Requirements
- Active California RN License
- BLS (AHA)
- ACLS (AHA)
- NRP Certification
- AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients in an acute care Labor & Delivery unit preferred
- Must be comfortable managing high-risk pregnancies and deliveries
- Must be willing to work 3–4 weekend shifts every 28-day schedule
- Meditech experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and care for laboring, postpartum, and newborn patients
- Interpret fetal monitoring and respond appropriately to changes in maternal and fetal condition
- Administer medications and treatments safely
- Assist with vaginal deliveries, Cesarean sections, and emergency obstetric procedures
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide patient and family education throughout the labor and delivery process
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
