5 years of recent supervisor experience in an acute-care facility.
2+ years of experience in a trauma hospital.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing + unrestricted California RN license OR ADN + California RN license + national certification in an area of expertise.
AHA Healthcare Provider BLS.
RQI Provider certification and competency required.
Description:
Coordinate, supervise, and direct daily clinical and operational activities within the L&D unit.
Manage staffing levels and staff placement according to patient acuity and unit needs.
Supervise, train, evaluate, coach, and mentor nursing staff.
Coordinate staff orientation and ongoing education.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, governmental, and hospital standards.
Participate in quality improvement, performance improvement, and risk management programs.
Maintain effective relationships with physicians, healthcare teams, patients, and families.
Serve as a liaison between the unit and hospital departments.
Provide direct patient care when required and provide Nursing Shift Manager coverage as needed.
