Description

American Traveler is hiring an OB/L&D RN for a 13-week night or day shift assignment requiring ACLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring certifications with an active MN RN license.

Details

• Work in the OB/GYN unit
• 3x12 shift schedule, either days (0700-1930) or nights (1900-0700)
• Requires every other weekend or 3rd weekend commitment
• Must be competent in Antepartum, OB Triage, Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Post-Partum care
• Skills utilized include NST, external fetal monitoring, and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns

Requirements

• Active Minnesota RN license in hand or proof of Minnesota license application required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
• AWHONN Intermediate certification preferred
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience, with strong OB experience required
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• Skills in postpartum care, couplet care, and postpartum hemorrhage management preferred
• MedSurg experience is an additional asset
• Must complete Livescan fingerprinting in person in Minnesota on the Monday prior to the scheduled start date
• Must complete required lab work within 48 hours of signing contract

Additional Information

• Must reside more than 25 miles from the facility; local candidates within this radius are not accepted
• Former permanent staff must be separated from the facility for at least 9 months before returning as a traveler
• Maximum of 7 days RTO permitted, with no RTO allowed during the first 2 weeks of the assignment
• All RTO requests must be disclosed and approved at the time of consideration
• Holiday coverage required as needed by the facility
• Travelers requesting a medical or religious vaccine exemption must submit appropriate documentation
• First-time travelers are not preferred for this assignment
