Registered Nurse (RN) - OB/GYN

The Family Birth Place is dedicated to providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and their families. Our team of obstetric professionals prioritizes comfort and support during the Labor, Delivery, and Recovery experience, ensuring that both mothers and fathers or support persons are actively involved in the entire process.

Shift & Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts
• 36 hours per week
• Work week: Saturday - Friday
• Weekend requirements: Every third weekend, and holidays as needed

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for patients in the OB/GYN department.
• Perform labor, triage, delivery, and postpartum couplet care.
• Conduct C-sections and assist with newborn care.
• Maintain high standards of compassion and care for new mothers and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of OB/GYN experience is required.
• High proficiency in Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) care, including Triage and Circulating experience.
• Current certifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
• Active Michigan nursing license is required.
• Exemptions for Covid vaccine are allowed.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia test prior to working on the floor.
• Must have access to a personal vehicle for transportation.

Additional Information

Requested time off (RTO) during the employment term must be noted at the time of submission, with a maximum of 5 days accepted. RTO requests made after submission will not be approved. All scheduling requests must be included at the time of application.
