Trusted Talent is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Machias, Maine.
Independently provides holistic, individualized care using the nursing process for patients routinely seen on the OB unit. Demonstrates clinical competency, nursing judgment, teaching skills, and a commitment to improving the quality of care. Performs general and unit-specific clinical skills. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates all assigned care under the supervision of the charge nurse.
Responsible for adhering to all Standards of Nursing Practice, implementing and evaluating age-appropriate care of all patients in the department (antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, nursery, and post-op gynecology patients), managing supplies and equipment, and promoting teamwork with physicians and personnel of the unit and other hospital departments. Adheres to hospital policies regarding confidentiality, sexual harassment, advance directives, and ADA. Maintains a high degree of confidentiality and supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Requirements: - Minimum of one year of acute care experience. - Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. - Successfully completes general nursing and unit orientation. - Effective communication skills, written and oral. - Computer skills. - Current BLS, ACLS, Neonatal Resuscitation Certificate, STABLE. - Must be vaccinated for COVID-19 per state mandate.
