Job Title: Certified OB Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Labor and Delivery Technician Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating (Days/Nights) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of OB experience License: Valid state license required Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: NBSTA certification and state registration in hand OB experience Description: This position is for a Certified Labor and Delivery Technician. The candidate must have previous experience in an OB setting. It is essential to be NBSTA certified and have state registration in hand. The schedule will consist of 6 weeks of day shifts followed by 6 weeks of night shifts. Flexibility in scheduling is required based on staffing needs. Time off cannot be approved for specified holidays. The role involves assisting in various labor and delivery procedures. Preferred experience includes knowledge of trauma level procedures. Candidates must be prepared to float within their scope of practice as needed. Proficiency in Epic charting system is required. All certifications must be submitted prior to the hiring process. Background checks may be conducted as part of the hiring process. BSN preferred but not mandatory.
