Job Title: OR Tech Profession: Client Specialty: Client: OR Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Labor & Delivery License: N/A Certifications: BLS & CST Certification Must-Have: Required to work every other weekend and holidays as needed Description: Prepare the operating room by ensuring the room is set up for surgery. Include sterile instruments and a sterile table with supplies, medications, and equipment. Prepare patients by shaving and cleaning the patient's skin before surgery. Assist the surgical team in scrubbing in. Sterilize equipment by cleaning and preparing instruments for sterilization. Assist during surgery by passing instruments, sponges, and dressings to the surgeon. Retract tissue, apply suction, and assist with suturing. Maintain a sterile environment throughout the procedure. Keep the operating room clean before and after each procedure.
