Description

American Traveler is hiring a Step-down/PCU RN for an ED Observation unit requiring compact RN licensure and NIHSS certification for night shift coverage.

Details

• Work in the ED Observation unit of a hospital setting
• Step-down/PCU candidates only
• 3x12hr Night shifts, 1900-0730
• Rotating weekend requirement
• 36 hours per week
• Floating required to other Tele units, Ortho surgical trauma, and acuity adaptable step-down units with patients such as insulin drips and sepsis
• May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license, Single State or Compact (CO)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA), not expiring prior to start
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in the specialty
• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration

Additional Information

• Perform independent nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care
• Provide health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic treatment to patients
• Document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines
• Review and monitor treatment plans, referring patients for further evaluation as needed
• Former permanent staff must be separated from any Intermountain facility for at least one year before eligibility for this assignment
