Description
American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Obstetrics Acute unit position requiring CA RN licensure and specialized certifications including NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and Fetal Heart Monitoring.
Details
- Work in the Obstetrics Acute unit of a full-service community and regional teaching hospital
- Night shift schedule, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 or 48-hour shift options available
Requirements
- Active CA RN license required
- BSN preferred
- Acute care facility experience preferred
- BLS certification required (AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS)
- NRP certification required (AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS)
- S.T.A.B.L.E. certification required
- ACLS certification required (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS)
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required
- Minimum two years of experience in specialty required
- Recent experience in submitted specialty within the last three months required
Additional Information
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for assigned patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate care with other disciplines utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment
- Collect and analyze patient assessment data to determine diagnosis and care plans
- Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to deliver safe, healing care
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care
- Provide health education to patients, families, and treatment team members
- Required vaccinations as a condition of employment, with medical and religious exemptions available
- Local candidates accepted with no radius rule, local rates same as travel rates
