Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital, treating a geriatric population with a preferred year of IPR experience.

Details

• Inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital with 50 beds
• Day shift schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
• Weekend hours available on request
• Geriatric patient population with caseload of 5-6 patients per day
• Mostly 1:1 treatment with some group therapy sessions
• Common diagnoses include stroke, debility, brain injury, amputee, cardiac, spinal cord injury, and orthopedic conditions
• Uses DME and therapy equipment
• EHR systems include UDS Prodoc and Pinpoints
• No floating requirements

Requirements

• Current Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) required
• Preferred 1 year of IPR (inpatient rehabilitation) experience
• Basic computer knowledge and strong communication skills required
• Effective verbal and written English communication required

Additional Information

• Provide individualized rehabilitation therapy tailored to patient recovery needs
• Work with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team focused on stroke, brain injury, neurological, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic recovery
• Must be cooperative and demonstrate strong teamwork skills
• Scrubs of any color permitted
• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
• Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
• Permanent residence must be more than 60 miles from the facility
