Rehab Occupational Therapy

Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with flexible start time up to 8:00 AM
• Required to work one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) during a 4-week period, resulting in a day off during the applicable week
• Primary inpatient acute care role
• Treat patients across cardiopulmonary, neurological, orthopedic, medicine, trauma, surgical, and oncology populations
• Treat adult and geriatric patient age groups
• Establish treatment plans and provide treatment considering discharge needs, expected discharge functional status, and appropriate equipment and supplies
• Educate, collaborate, and conference with patients, families, and other healthcare providers, making recommendations for referrals to specialists as needed
• Delegate to assistants and technicians through written and verbal communication, including determining skill level or competency required to provide interventions to best meet patient needs
• Complete documentation in accordance with departmental policies
• May be utilized in any therapy service line within the hospital
• Special equipment used includes SPH equipment, vital carts, iPad interpreter, and ADL supplies
• Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
• Scrub color: Black or Grey
• Required certifications: BLS and state license
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Acute care experience required; Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• No on-call required
• First-time travelers accepted

Facility:

This facility is a short-term acute care teaching hospital and Level 1 trauma center with 1,259 staffed beds. The facility supports a wide range of therapy services across multiple patient populations and utilizes Epic as its charting system. Monthly parking passes are available for staff through the Public Safety department.
