Job Summary: Works under the supervision of the Rehab Supervisor and Manager of Rehabilitation Services. Provides Occupational Therapy interventions to patients per referral, including assessment, care planning, educating patients and families regarding treatment plans, progress, and prognosis. Responsibilities include scheduling, recording treatment information, and issuing appropriate adaptive equipment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care to patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
California Occupational Therapy license
Current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification as per American Heart Association standards
Minimum of 3 years of Occupational Therapy experience
At least 1 year of NICU experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in instructing and evaluating therapy students
Experience in coordinating with CCS Case Managers
Additional Information:
Assesses patients and administers care plans compatible with physician, patient, and family goals
Provides high-quality and safe patient care
Completes all necessary documentation related to patient treatment
Assists in the efficient and effective return of patients to the highest degree of independence possible
Maintains cost-effective treatment plans
Assists in the orientation of new employees and volunteers
Regularly assumes duties of Charge Therapist
Adheres to established hospital safety standards
Coordinates with CCS Case Managers for referrals to CCS panel providers or CCS Medical Therapy Units
