Job Opportunity – Occupational Therapist – Portland, OR 97225

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Portland, Oregon

Schedule: Day shift, 5x8-hour shifts (07:00 - 15:00), approximately 4 weekend days per month required. Block scheduling applies. Float between units as needed.

Highlights:

• Large short-term acute care teaching hospital with nearly 500 beds and multiple accredited programs
• Daily census of approximately 165 patients across adult and geriatric populations
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Epic charting system utilized throughout the facility
• 13-week travel assignment with potential for extension
• Free parking provided on-site

Requirements:

• Active Oregon state license or compact license (must be in hand at time of submission)
• Current BLS certification and NBCOT certification required
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care hospital experience (hardstop requirement)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Experience in large acute care hospital settings strongly preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Skills required: acute care assessment, discharge planning, evaluation, home exercise programs, lifting and transfers, patient/family education, plan of care development, reassessments, and safety/injury prevention
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
