Description

American Traveler is hiring a travel Occupational Therapist with acute care and Epic experience for a Level 1 Trauma hospital in Urbana, IL.

Details

  • Full-time acute care therapy position in a hospital setting
  • Day shift schedule, Monday–Friday 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • One weekend shift required per month
  • No holiday shifts required
  • No floating required
  • 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
  • Epic EMR experience required

Requirements

  • Active Illinois OT license required (if applicable)
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant OT experience
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Level 1 Trauma experience required
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy required
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Additional Information

  • Evaluates and treats patients of all ages, developing individualized plans of care that integrate goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning
  • Performs patient examinations using reliable and valid methods relevant to the chief complaint, screening results, and history
  • Implements intervention plans utilizing functional activities that address the functional and emotional needs of the patient and family
  • Utilizes standardized outcomes measures to accurately reflect patient functional performance
  • Provides supervision to COTAs and rehabilitation technicians in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Collaborates with patients, families, and the medical team throughout the rehabilitation process, communicating changes in status, activity recommendations, and discharge disposition
  • Completes documentation in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Serves as a clinical resource for staff and students
  • Candidate interviews are conducted by a facility leader
  • RTO may not exceed 7 days per 13-week contract
  • Candidates who have been on assignment with this health system for 1 year continuously must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any of its locations
