Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Adult Rehab Services unit, requiring acute and trauma experience along with a minimum of one year of experience.

Details

• Adult Rehabilitation Services unit within an acute care hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, 5 days per week
• Acute and trauma experience required
• Travel between units not required

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy required
• Minimum of one year of experience required
• Current BLS certification from AHA required upon hire
• Oklahoma OT license required if applicable
• Strong knowledge of OT principles, practices, and treatment planning
• Good interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and staff
• Basic computer skills required

Additional Information

• Perform occupational therapy evaluations, treatment planning, and implementation under physician direction
• Interpret physician referrals and select appropriate standardized evaluation procedures
• Design and fabricate adaptive equipment and orthotic devices as needed
• Assist with discharge planning including equipment ordering and home therapy instruction
• May supervise students
• Candidates must reside outside a 50 mile radius of the facility to be eligible
• Compliance documentation and onboarding must begin immediately upon offer due to strict facility deadlines
• Facility requires at least 4 weeks between offer and start date for compliance clearance
• Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks, with a required 6-month separation before reapplying
