Setting: Critical Access Hospital (25 beds)

Average Caseload: 8-9 patients per day

Duration: 13-weeks

Compensation 

Travel Package: $2,226/week

*Must reside over 50 miles away to qualify for travel package*

Position Details

Schedule: 

• M - F; Day shift

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of an OT.
• Deliver ADL training and functional rehabilitation for patients recovering from surgery, illness, injury, and deconditioning.
• Treat inpatient, swing-bed, and outpatient orthopedic patients, including hand, elbow, and shoulder cases.
• Provide occasional home health visits within a 15-20 mile radius.

Requirements

• Active NBCOT COTA Certification
• Obtain COTA Wisconsin licensebefore start date!
  • Temporary license accepted for a quick start (1-3 week turnaround time)
  • Offering reimbursement for WI license!
• Preferred experience in inpatient rehab, skilled nursing, swing-bed, acute care, or home health
• Preffered experience working with geriatric and post-surgical population

Position - Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) (1197224) Patient Population Adult inpatient rehabilitation Swing-bed rehabilitation patients (predominantly Medicare-aged) Post-surgical patients Patients experiencing weakness and deconditioning Outpatient orthopedic patients Occasional home health patients Mostly adult and geriatric patients - Small pediatric population In WI - According to the DSPS website, if credentialed and in good standing in another state, OTA's can begin working WHILE they’ve made application to WI (under Act 10). This is good for 90 days and can be extended for more than 1 30-day period of time as long as all info is submitted.
