Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for a Home Health setting serving adult and geriatric patients, requiring MOAB, NBCOT, and NM license (license required if applicable).
Details
- Home Health setting treating adult and geriatric patients
- Caseload of 8-12 assigned patients
- Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts
- No weekend requirements
- Clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs, no floating to sister facilities
- Mileage reimbursed at federal IRS standard rate within a 35-mile territory
- Block scheduling not guaranteed
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- BLS certification required
- MOAB certification required (facility will provide training if not already certified)
- NBCOT certification required
- NM state license required (license required if applicable)
- Pending state license accepted
- Cerner charting experience preferred
- Experience with home assessments, adaptive equipment, and pre-discharge planning preferred
- Experience with orthopedic conditions including hip and knee replacements, hand injuries, and soft tissue injuries preferred
- Experience with neurological conditions such as CVA, TBI, Parkinson's, and spinal cord injury preferred
- Experience with cognitive assessments and standardized psychiatric/behavioral health assessments preferred
Additional Information
- First-time travelers accepted
- Responsibilities include ADLs, wheelchair evaluations, home assessments, and discharge planning
- Provide patient and family education along with safety and injury prevention guidance
- Must pass in-person MOAB training during orientation week if not already certified, or contract may be subject to termination
- No local candidates accepted within 100 miles of the facility
- Requests for RTO greater than 7 days require approval
- COVID vaccine optional, but vaccination series or declination must be uploaded for facility reporting
- Second set of fingerprints required upon arrival for CYFD due to potential presence of children in homes
