Job Summary Occupational Therapist Inpatient in East Chicago, Indiana. This position involves providing specialized occupational therapy services to geriatric patients within a hospitals inpatient rehabilitation unit. The role supports a team focused on stroke and orthopedic care, with opportunities to work in a scenic and vibrant Midwest setting near Lake Michigan and Chicago.
Job Details
Shift: Days, 8:00 AM 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Occupational Therapist (OT) license, current certification in CPR, 1 year of experience in inpatient settings, associated education requirements, and location-specific credentials.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with adult populations in hospital environments, particularly in stroke or orthopedic recovery.
Additional Responsibilities: Deliver targeted occupational therapy interventions to improve patient independence and recovery during inpatient rehabilitation stays; collaborate with multidisciplinary teams; document patient progress.
Schedule: Full-time, 7.5 hours per shift, working an average of 37.5 hours weekly.
