Job Summary: Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) position located in Independence, Missouri. This role involves providing occupational therapy services in a 285-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit within a facility designated as a Level 2 Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will evaluate and treat patients with a focus on activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility, utilizing rehab gym equipment. The position requires working on the day shift, with an emphasis on delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.
Job Details:
Schedule: Day shift from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Valid license as an occupational therapist; Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy; Ohio, licensed in the state of Missouri; at least 1 year of experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute care or rehab settings; familiarity with evaluations and treatments related to ADLs and mobility; proficiency with rehab gym equipment.
Float: Float rotation may be required.
Additional Information:
Unit features a 16-bed inpatient rehab area with acute care staffing including 11 OT professionals on day shift.
Typical procedures include patient evaluations and treatments focused on ADLs and mobility.
All normal rehab supplies and equipment are used.
Dress code requires eggplant-colored scrubs; other attire is not acceptable.
