Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) opportunity is available in a critical access hospital located in Madisonville, Texas. The role involves providing quality therapy services to skilled nursing patients, with responsibilities including evaluations, developing treatment plans, and discharge planning. The position offers a balanced schedule with no weekends or on-call duties.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Six months of experience in a Skilled/Acute setting and outpatient experience; Texas and national license; BLS (American Heart Association) certification; at least 2 years of experience required
- Preferred Qualifications: None listed
- Float: Float rotation may be required between inpatient and outpatient services
- Additional Information:
- Candidates must have at least six months of experience in a Skilled or Acute care environment
- New graduates with at least six months of experience are eligible
- Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination
- No technician in the facility
- Clinical documentation will be completed using the MEDITECH charting system
- The occupational therapist will deliver therapy services within an interdisciplinary team, following the standards of the Texas Board of Examiners for Occupational Therapy
