Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) in a healthcare organization located in the region. This position involves providing inpatient occupational therapy services across various units, including general inpatient, rehabilitation, and sub-acute care settings. The role requires a detailed understanding of patient care, with responsibilities tailored to inpatient and outpatient environments.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education, and Experience: BLS Certification; minimum of 2 years of experience in inpatient occupational therapy.
• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts from 8am to 4:30pm, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Responsibilities: Providing recovery-oriented occupational therapy services for patients with conditions such as spinal cord injuries, stroke, brain injuries, ortho, neuro, peds, and long-term care patients, including vented and ICU patients. Coverage includes both inpatient units and outpatient clinics specializing in orthopedics, sports medicine, neuro, pediatrics, and lymphedema care.
• Additional information: Candidates must have experience with swallow studies; OT candidates with swallow experience are preferred. The role involves working in multiple outpatient clinics, including a nearby free-standing outpatient clinic and a clinic located conveniently close to the healthcare organization.
• Orientation: Floor-specific orientation of 3 shifts.
• Additional notes: Candidates must have at least 2 years of inpatient occupational therapy experience. The position involves work during holidays, and the candidate will work either every Saturday or Sunday with the rotation to cover major and minor holidays.
