Job Summary Occupational Therapist Inpatient in a short-term acute care facility. This role involves providing occupational therapy services to adult and geriatric patients within a large, accredited hospital setting. The position requires the ability to work a day shift, float between units, and support the interdisciplinary team to deliver quality patient care.
Job Details
Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
Required Qualifications: Valid state license, at least 1 year of inpatient acute care hospital experience, BLS certification, NBCOT certification, experience with Epic charting system, assessment, discharge planning, evaluation, home exercise program development, patient/family education, plan of care formulation, safety and injury prevention, telephone coordination
Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level I or Level II experience, community hospital experience, previous charge experience, experience with large acute care hospitals and accredited programs
Float: Float rotation may be required between units and nearby facilities
Additional Information: Must have inpatient acute care hospital experience. Candidate must be flexible to work a set schedule, including holidays, with RTO requests to be specified upfront. Must possess a compact license if applicable and be within a local radius of 50 miles from the facility. References covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) are required. Candidates should have experience with assessments, evaluation, discharge procedures, and working collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
