Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) This position is located in the healthcare organizations inpatient setting. The Occupational Therapist will provide specialized therapeutic services to adult and senior patient populations, focusing on orthopedic, cardiac, neurologic, and general medical/surgical diagnoses. The role involves collaboration within an interdisciplinary team across various acute care units to facilitate patient recovery and functional independence.

Job Details

• Location: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Occupational Therapy License, American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification, Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy, minimum of 1 year of experience working with adults/seniors in acute rehabilitation and IRF settings.
• Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate Degree in Occupational Therapy, knowledge and experience across levels of acuity including ICU, TCU/tele monitoring, and general ward.
• Responsibilities: Provide occupational therapy assessments and interventions focused on functional improvements, evaluate patient needs with specialized assessments, coordinate discharge planning, and educate patients and their families.
• Certifications: Valid California Occupational Therapy License, American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
• Additional Requirements: Must be willing and able to float to other UCSF facilities as needed; COVID-19 vaccination and booster proof required, with documented appointment if booster not yet received.
