Description

American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an Inpatient Acute setting requiring MN OT licensure and 1+ year of recent inpatient hospital experience.

Details

• Inpatient acute care hospital setting at a Level III trauma center
• OT department caseload typically averages 30-40 patients
• Diagnoses include general deconditioning, total joint replacement, post-op ortho, some neuro, and general medical-surgical cases
• EPIC EMR used for charting
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, no call or weekends
• Will not work alone
• May float to Outpatient as needed; cross-training to SNF preferred but not required
• 40 hours per week guaranteed

Requirements

• Active MN Occupational Therapy license required (license required if applicable)
• Active BLS certification through AHA required
• Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hospital experience required (within past 3 years)
• Acute care setting experience preferred

Additional Information

• Evaluate and treat a variety of adult patient diagnoses in an acute hospital setting
• Orientation includes computer-based organizational training plus 1-on-1 EPIC and department orientation
• Dress code is charcoal grey scrubs, or polo shirts in ceil blue, khaki, gray, or chocolate brown, or business casual
• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility
• Candidates with prior employment at this health system must disclose this and have an end date at least 6 months prior to submission
• Local candidates within 80 miles of the facility may be considered at a reduced rate
