Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) The organization is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist in an inpatient setting to provide specialized therapy services. The candidate will work with a diverse patient population spanning from pre-teens to geriatrics, focusing on orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses, including post-operative, acute injuries, and chronic conditions.

Job Details:

• Certifications: BLS, CA Occupational Therapist License (CA Licensure), at least 5 years of experience in outpatient hand therapy. CA license must be current and uploaded within the last two weeks.
• Education Requirements: Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Location Requirements: Candidate must be licensed in California.
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 5 years in hand therapy or related outpatient setting.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Qualifications: Experience fabricating splints for post-operative cases, acute injuries, and chronic conditions. Skilled in evaluating, discharging, and patient/family education. Proficiency with electronic charting using Epic.
• Responsibilities: Deliver specialized hand therapy including assessments, splint fabrication, patient education, and management of orthopedic diagnoses. Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with safety and injury prevention protocols.
• Preferred Qualifications: Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential is preferred but not required. Experience managing a wide range of orthopedic upper extremity cases and interdisciplinary support.
