Job Summary
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) in a healthcare setting. The position involves providing specialized occupational therapy services within an inpatient environment, focusing on patients with orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses, post-operative conditions, acute injuries, and chronic disorders. The role requires working with a patient population spanning from pre-teens to geriatrics.

Job Details

• Certifications: BLS, CA Occupational Therapist License, and at least 5 years of experience in outpatient hand therapy. Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) preferred but not required.
• Education Requirements: Valid California State License and applicable certifications with valid expiration dates.
• Responsibilities include splint fabrication for post-operative cases, assessment, discharge planning, dynamic splints, electrical stimulation, evaluation, functional splints, hand injury care, home exercise programs, iontophoresis, kinesiotaping, lymphedema management, myofascial release, nerve injury treatment, orthoplast fabrication, patient and family education, plan of care, reassessments, safety and injury prevention, serial/inhibitory techniques, soft tissue injury management, static splints, telephone calls, tendon repair, TENS, ultrasound, and upper extremity care.
• Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Candidates should have a minimum of two years of relevant experience, be familiar with the Epic charting system, and have outpatient hand therapy expertise covering a wide spectrum of orthopedic upper extremity diagnoses. No float rotation required.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must provide valid licensure, certifications, and references obtained within the last year, with all compliance documents completed 10 days prior to start.
