Description

American Traveler is hiring an Inpatient Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience to provide rehabilitation services to a diverse patient population including pediatric and geriatric cases.

• Inpatient rehabilitation setting
• Patient population includes lymphedema, pediatric, and geriatric cases
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift schedule with options of 5x8-hour shifts (7:30-16:00) or 4x10-hour shifts (7:30-18:00, Tues-Fri)

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• BLS certification required
• License required if applicable
• Experience with any charting system required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• CPSI experience preferred

Additional Information

• Duties include assessment, evaluation, plan of care, reassessments, and discharge documentation
• Skills include lifting and transfer, patient/family education, and safety/injury prevention
• Experience with adaptive equipment assessment, orthopedic conditions, and pediatric neurodevelopmental treatment preferred
• Familiarity with modalities such as electrical stimulation, lymphedema management, splinting, and ultrasound preferred
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted
• RTO must be submitted with initial profile
• Holiday RTO restrictions apply during Christmas and New Year's
• Pending license accepted with proof of application at submission, active license required by orientation
• Completion of a glucometer exam required prior to start
