Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 1+ year of experience in LTC or SNF settings for a 13-week travel contract in Purcell, OK.

Details

• Long-term care (LTC) / skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting
• Day shift, 8 hours per day
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Requirements

• Active Oklahoma OT license required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience required
• LTC or SNF setting experience required
• Current BLS certification required
• 1 professional reference required for consideration
• New graduates with Level II fieldwork experience will be considered

Additional Information

• Perform screenings and evaluations for patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning disorders and develop individualized plans of care
• Administer rehabilitative interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and use of assistive/supportive devices
• Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to guide clinical interventions
• Monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and document all required information in the electronic documentation system
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers
• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory and clinical requirements
• Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review meetings, and rehabilitation meetings
• Supervise and support occupational therapist assistants, rehab aides, and/or students as needed
• Adhere to NBCOT and Oklahoma state practice acts, code of conduct, and professional ethics
• No more than 7 days of RTO may be requested
